Another prediction of the French astrologer Nostradamus appears to have come true as the heatwave sweeping across Europe threatens to break temperature records
The French astrologer Michel de Nostredame, better known as Nostradamus, apparently predicted the scorching heatwave currently plaguing much of Europe.
The terrifying book of Nostradamus, The Prophecies, published nearly 500 years ago, was credited with making a series of predictions that have come true, including the French Revolution, the rise of Adolf Hitler, and atomic bombs being dropped on Japan.
Now, one of Nostradamus’s predictions for 2023 seems to have come true, and it contains some exact unnerving details about the current heatwave in Europe.
Alluding to the scorching weather and rising sea temperature, he wrote:
“As the sun, the head will sew the shining sea: The living fish of the Black Sea will almost boil.”
“When Rhodes and Genoa are half-starved, the local people will toil to cut them off.”
The Greek island of Rhodes has been one of the places most impacted by the heat, with temperatures reaching 40°C.
A yellow heatwave warning has been issued in Genoa, although the city in northern Italy is not the most affected Italian city.
In other parts of the country, temperatures have hit 40°C. There have also been several heat-related deaths.
The record temperature for Europe is 48.8°C (in Sardinia in 2021). Weather experts have warned that this could soon be surpassed.
